Bills/ Bengals [cancelled - process in OP]

In case anyone needs it spelled out, we would play at a neutral site if the AFCCG ends up being Chiefs vs. Bills. All other scenarios abide by the usual rules (so any other game the Chiefs play will be at home).

This isn't true. They could still get the two seed.

Jesus - why not just ask the Bengals and Patriots to both forfeit? And then we'll play one-handed to signify the mental handicaps the Bills are dealing with right now. Y'know, as a showing of solidarity.

The race to be the 'most compassionate' here is just cracking me up.

This has become like watching politicians argue over who hates child predators more. Girls - you're all pretty.

Nobody's really super stoked about Damar Hamlin collapsing on a football field. I think we're all in agreement on that. Can we, y'know, actually PLAY the games at some point instead of just trying to one-up each other's displays of concern? Lord.

I don't think the game gets played..

I think right now the NFL's biggest concern is Buffalo playing NE, Buffalo and Cincy are both in either way, that NE game though has ramifications for multiple teams.

If they beat the Ravens and then play and beat Buffalo. If KC were to lose to LV the Bengals have a very good shot at the #1 seed and the bye.

That’s how all of us have to deal with life. Our company gives 3 days bereavement. And that’s for death of a family member, not the hospitalization of a co worker
When it comes to athletes in a team sport like this often players are much closer to their teammates than even immediate family.

Buffalo also knows perception is on their side, if the NFL tries to make them do anything they're going to cry to the media and the NFL will get blasted.

Don’t need tie-breakers when there isn’t a tie. Fine with them deciding last night wasn’t worth playing, football consequences be damned. Whatever discussions happened today I’m guessing the NFL still wasn’t under pressure from the teams to play tonight/tomorrow out of their concerns about playoff seeding. Just cancel the game and move on.

If a team fails to meet their obligations for whatever reason they should cede their spot in the playoffs.

I would be pissed if the Chiefs were talking about forfeiting several games.
