We need to extend Alex Smith
Alex played the game of his life and he was BETRAYED by the defense

Alex Smith dropped 44 points on the Colts and somehow still lost. Alex is a hero. 44 points can win you a SUPERBOWL. What happened to the best defense in the league? They sure weren't out there tonight. You could cut all of them and it wouldn't matter. What matters is having Alex.

I guess I see them as a collapsible cushion that allows your head to rattle around in the can and a hindrance to proper helmet fitting. I seem to remember almost needing two hands to pull the helmet on and them not wanting any movement or "rattle" once it was on.

Watching Lewis flip his helmet off by simply hitting the straps made it seem obvious his helmet is just sitting on his dread decorated pile of slow.

We have some very good players on this team that we've tricked ourselves into thinking are great. They're not.

Houston MIGHT end up being that if he can stay healthy and continue to progress. And he's our best hope, by a long shot.

You are the supervisor of a 2-person team at work and you have assigned a deadline for a crucial project. The project is of a specialized nature so you cannot contribute to its successful completion. One person on the team is a jackoff and does very little to contribute to the project. The other guy is busting his hump putting in 14 hour days for 5 days straight. It's the weekend and the project is due Monday morning. The project is to the point where it can be finished with about 4 hours work over the weekend. Over the weekend the jack off does nothing, and the over achiever says, "I've done my part, I'm out". The project fails and you lose the client to a competitor.

Performance reviews are the next week. Obviously you give the jackoff a very poor performance review. No question about it.

How do you handle the other guy? Sounds like 90% of the people here want to give him a raise.

This is a huge stretch.

The first guy had the project done and basically all the 2nd guy had to do was not dump coffee all over it, but he couldn't do that.
