BTW, your manager should have left Greinke in for the 8th. That was crazy. Lucky for you guys, we have an even worse manager who doesn't play the best defensive SS in the major leagues in late innings with leads.

Just watched the recap on the postgame.

Nice way for the Boys in Blue to get off the schneide.

Let's do it again tomorrow. Oh wait, Bale is starting...

Well, if I didn't have a little blind hope, I'd have given up on this team years ago.

I think Greinke's already had two complete games so far, and another that went Eight. Hillman may have been thinking about not pushing his arm that hard again.

I got excited when Downs caught the ball and threw to 2nd because I assumed it would be an easy DP.

And it would have been...had David Eckstein been able to make an easy catch and throw.

And hey... not relevant at all but aren't you that Missouri fan who was ranting about stuff after KU got the Orange Bowl bid?

Ha, indeed you are.

There was no DP because the SS screwed up an easy play.

This is no argument...you don't go to 1st base with a ball like that you moron.

Hey I never said the guy made a dumb decision. Pay attention dickhead I already said that once. I was just telling you the gut feeling I had. And after watching your team make idiotic plays all night in the field I was right. So suck it bitch

I forgot we brought him up for last Sunday's start.

Hopefully he has a better outing than last time. We really need him to develop into a solid starter and have that draft pick pay off.

I'll leave you to your argument. Have a good night, folks.

Dude, I'm not sure why you think anybody cares about what a stupid Missouri fan's gut feeling is on a play. There are 2 options. Throw to 2nd for the DP, or go home if it's a faster runner who hit the ball, and cut off the run at home. Gload is slow...Downs made the right decision. You NEVER throw to 1st base. It's the wrong baseball decision to make.

And you're right, the Jays seemed to suck in the field, but generally they are a very good defensive team, and I wasn't worried about a normal DP ball.

But obviously Eckstein sucks too much, and shouldn't have been playing in that situation.

This seems accurate. Eckstein is a pretty terrible ballplayer. Below-average at best.

Up until last night, Nunez hadn't given up an earned run. Grienke gave up a homer the inning before and was facing the Toronto line up for the 4th time. I can't ever fault a manager for going to his best set up man in the eighth with a 1 run lead. Now leaving Bombko in for that long in the 1st game of the double header with Cleveland was bonehead.
