We need to extend Alex Smith

Alex played the game of his life and he was BETRAYED by the defense

Alex Smith dropped 44 points on the Colts and somehow still lost. Alex is a hero. 44 points can win you a SUPERBOWL. What happened to the best defense in the league? They sure weren't out there tonight. You could cut all of them and it wouldn't matter. What matters is having Alex.

"scoreboard, bitch. Alex is a winner" was the battle cry during the 9-0 start when Alex was leaning on the defense. Yet, with the 28 point cushion he couldn't pick up the slack when the defense was playing poorly. Shit, all he had to do was to score another TD to seal it. I'm nor going into the final drive BS, he had the whole 2nd half to lock it up.

We lost because the team is "cursed".

We lose every playoff game by what seem to be fluke instances...the problem is those flukes keep repeating over and over.

He did pick up the slack, he put up 44 points. I'm not sure how we've come to the point of putting this much blame on a qb after a game in which his offense scores 44 points

Again, we scored 13 in the second half.

If we only scored that much in each half (26 total) Alex did his job and that should be enough to win.

I'm disappointed that Sutton didnt get Lewis the **** off the field.

We didn't win, Alex didn't bail out the D like the Defense bailed him out during the 9-0 start. It sucks, but it's true. Alex should've kept shredding the Colts secondary due to their shit play, but didn't in the second half.

He did bail out the D, by giving them a huge lead. They chose to not keep it.

How many quarterbacks lose when their defense gives up 30+ points?

Answer: The VAST majority of them. Since you brought up Brady, lets look at his game log. When his defense gives up 30+ points, he's 9-16. In the playoffs, he's 0-2.

You're a dumbass.

If 44 points and a 28 point lead in the 3rd quarter aren't enough to lock it up it is not the QBs fault.

The offense scored 8 times in a playoff game, but it's their fault we lost /tribal
