Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum said unrestricted free-agent FB Tony Richardson (Jets) plans to play at least one more season in the league.



I always liked that guy , he should retire a Chief.

No it's not.
Having a good FB helps your run game.
Obviously it did in New York.

It's not going to make the difference in whether or not this team is playing football in late January, but...it certainly would help solidify our ground game.

Yeah, it was the MNF game in 04, I believe. They had Ray Ray wired up and it was a glorious night for all the fans of incessant crying and bloody noses.

I think Chiefs fans just don't like to lose a talented player at any position, especially given how little he signed for in the overall scheme of things.

I don't think anyone would want a pro bowl FB over a pro bowl player at any other position. That said, when you have one, why not keep him? Especially when he was, by all accounts, a good leader in the locker room?
