Why did Miami do this deal?

Yes, most of us don’t care about other teams. But if you do, explain their rationale. It doesn’t make any sense on its face. You never say never in the NFL but does anyone think they can possibly win the division over Buffalo? Does anyone think this makes them better than NE?

1). BetUS moves Miami all the way up to 11th in the AFC, tied with Vegas at +3500 to win the SB. The Chiefs didn’t even budge, going from +800 to +850:
https://www.betus.com.pa/miscellaneo...k&promo=FLURRY

2). Vegas Insider puts them at 17th now to win SB:
https://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/las-vegas/

This means they’re still a few slots away from even getting a WC road game. And they gave up a lot of draft capital and salary for the privilege. If Indy or Arizona or Dallas etc did this deal it makes sense.

Are they just desperate to make a splash?

Everyone gets a chance for a streak when they get a string of weak opponents. We've had our share of giddiness over those streaks.

I acknowledged that, and I didn't assert they were poised for the SB, just that they are little more than 'not remotely relevant.'

They don't necessarily need to go out and win a Super Bowl here in the next handful of years, but they do need some consistent playoff success to spark interest in the team again.

And, yeah, put some fans back in the seats. If nothing else, a young QB with Hill and Waddle should be exciting to watch.
Let's put it this way, if you're a Dolphins fan, how do you feel about this trade? I'd be upset we traded so many draft picks for one guy who isn't a franchise QB.

I don't hate you. I actually respect a lot of your opinions, on a multitude of topics.

But the way you go about it is simply disgusting. You're the most passive aggressive, condescending person here and it's not even close.

Imagine being a Fish Fan, getting jacked about this deal, and then seeing Vegas still has you picked to miss the playoffs and KC barely budged losing TY

I'd take that to heart more if I didn't honestly mean my assessments, and if you actually rebutted them with countervailing facts.

When you characterize my perspective as condescending, it pretty much concedes that your gripe isn't so much that I'm wrong, but that I'm right and it's unpleasant to think about.

You are disgusted with a realistic view of the situation, but you transfer that disgust to my frankness.

And frankly, doxxing is about the most disgusting disappointing, . . . wait for it, . . . passive-aggressive, strategy I've seen anyone take.

This has been a disappointing development in a slow drip of disappointing developments, and the rebuttal has been 'everything is fine, so long as Mahomes.' And all I observe is that there isn't a lot of elevate the franchise outside Mahomes, and somehow that's heresy.

But yeah, I'm all alone in kookoo land

Tyreek won't be going to the playoffs or the super bowl unless he buys a ticket with some of that money the dolphins overpaid him

No pun intended, but because they fleeced the fish at the table (Houston), people thought they were well-run; it just turned out they were only the second worst player at the table.
