Mecole Hardman

It seems like the offense has been a lot less dynamic without Hardman. He might be the spark needed going into the playoffs.

I know the accepted narrative here is one that treats Hardman as some sort of JAG. But I really like his freakish athleticism, his playmaking ability, and his unselfishness. He’s still really young and has acted like a kid at times, but I’ve got this nagging feeling that if the light ever comes on he’s gonna be special.

He’s made some really great plays and I love the way he runs in traffic. He doesn’t shift gears. It’s like he’s in variable glide mode.

Weird.
Tell me all these highly paid QBs who are prolific passers like mahomes. Aaron rodgers is a passer. Trading davante Adams definitely made them better, didn’t it? The titans fired their GM because they realized how big a mistake it was to trade AJ brown. You must be outside your mind if you think the bills aren’t going to keep diggs. Or that the bengals aren’t going to try like hell to keep chase AND Higgins. Or the vikes aren’t going to hold on to Justin Jefferson.

And so it starts. It’s not enough to pay Chris jones. We need to pay 2-3 DL money. It’s not enough to pay a LT. You have to pay for 3-4 high priced OL. You’re talking about paying 5-6 guys who are going to not only soak up our entire payroll, they'll make it hard to upgrade elsewhere. But one WR is being financially irresponsible. One WR who immediately makes your entire WR room better.

I look forward to hearing your plan for Patrick's blindside protection for next year when the premiere free agent at tackle is our very own OBJ, and the draft class is so weak at tackle. There is no cheap acceptable solution.
You either pay OBJ or trade for a guy.

One planet earth, looks like the kid was making explosive plays and scoring TDs.

Chiefs will at least tender Hardman with a chance to match the best offer he gets. A team in a situation like the Jaguars were in last off season might make an offer the Chiefs decide not to match and maybe get a comp draft pick.

Yet the chiefs traded one away and have a better offense.

I’m shocked Ryan Tannehill isn’t as good without a premier wr. The bills are gonna be losing their center and some other dl due to cap space, I’m sure it’ll work out well keeping their “premier wr”.

I don’t have a problem getting a number 1 wr, if he’s legit a #1 guy. But it’s a luxury.

LT and pass rusher are more important than paying a wr

The chiefs just made that decision last offseason

The chiefs are a better offense because mahomes is playing like a different QB. It was great for his development. But you keep saying this as if our offense has been dominant the second half of the season. As if we were terrible last season - we were dominant in the second half of last season and unstoppable in the playoffs except for one bad half vs Cincy. We were routinely putting up 40-burgers late last season. As if we can keep relying on 33 year old Kelce to get abused and double/triple covered.

We've shown a lot of warts and it isn't just pass pro. Watson and mvs have been utterly useless the past few games. teams are starting to harass the hell out of Kelce knowing they can give no attention to our receivers. Teams are manning our receivers at the highest rates mahomes has seen. We looked very bad against Seattle and the rams. And despite what the stats say we had a very tough time vs LAC and Tennessee. Our offensive struggles are masked because we played really really bad qbs in the second half. And we are doing this because we are taking the ball OUT of mahomes' hands.

This idea that we are better without Tyreek is oversold. Mahomes turned into a better QB. Ok, good. Now that he's playing with more efficiency give him a damn weapon.

you keep saying this as if the chiefs didn't offer just under $25m to tyreek. We didn't know we were losing Tyreek until the 25th hour. It was never our plan to not have a WR1.

On what planet were the chiefs not serious about receiver? We paid Tyreek $22m, paid mvs $10m per year AND added juju on top of using a top pick on skyy Moore.

No. At least-no, don't go pay top of the market price for a premium WR. Draft and develop, yes.

We're in the era of paying Mahomes now. Things are different. The Bills and Bengals will be entering their own eras of paying their guys this offseason and next. You'll see.

Mahomes+Best 52 is what puts you in the SB hunt every season for the next 10-15 years. This is the way.

Do not overpay anywhere. We are not 'ONE GUY AWAY' ever. We are right there, with as good of a shot as anyone anytime we line up with #15. If KC shows up focused and on it, nobody beats them. They do occasionally just beat themselves, but it must be a herculean task to be laser focused at all times, 20 games a season, year in and year out.

Draft well. Spend carefully in free agency. Do not mortgage your future at any time. Mahomes+Best 52,
