Bills/ Bengals [cancelled - process in OP]

In case anyone needs it spelled out, we would play at a neutral site if the AFCCG ends up being Chiefs vs. Bills. All other scenarios abide by the usual rules (so any other game the Chiefs play will be at home).

Breaking News: Of course the game is secondary to #DamarHamlin’s health, but #Bills insider @viccarucci just reported on @wgrz Daybreak that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will make the call on rescheduling the Bills/Bengals game and it would have to be played within 2 days.

After speaking with both teams and NFLPA leadership, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell informed the clubs today that the Bills-Bengals game will not be resumed this week.

The NFL has made no decision regarding the possible resumption of the game at a later date.

Bengals were ready to play and if not, per the rules in place, they would be the #3 and win the Central. What I'm seeing is they were ready to do this out of respect for Damar, but then the rules changed on Thursday and they got ****ed...

That's some of the biggest bullshit i've ever seen.

Whatever, the message is now LOUD AND CLEAR.

If this, god forbid, ever happens again, you stay on the field and force the other team to play or forfeit.

It's an absolute shame it has to be this way, but the dumbshit NFL is forcing everyone's hand by not being fair to the Bengals for doing the decent human thing.

Just an absolute screwjob of biblical proportions on the Bengals.

If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, I have no problem with Cincy winning it now.

I didn't say anything about public perception. If they really wanted to play, they didn't have to do it publicly. And it wouldn't have gone down that way.

Here’s the only fair solution. Playoffs go forward as normal.

If both the Bills and Bengals win in the Wild Card Round, then they both get byes in the Divisional Round.

Chiefs go forward as normal and play the winner of the 4/5 game in the Divisional Round.

Then, the Bills/Bengals game resumes the morning of the AFCCG in Cinci. The winner gets to host the divisional round game between the two immediately after the conclusion of the resumed game. So if Cinci wins, they play again in Cinci for a chance to play the Chiefs. If the Bills win, both teams immediately fly to Buffalo and play again.

The winner of the second game will then immediately fly to KC and play a third game that day against the Chiefs in the AFCCG.

It’s only fair.
