This Sanchez Chap

I fully admit that I'm not very savvy when it comes to football, but while watching the Chiefs game this weekend, CBS suddenly turned to the Jets' game instead (I'm not really sure why). Anyway, the Jets had a QB named Sanchez that seemed really good a throwing the ball (which is, I think, the primary goal of a QB). So, I started thinking: "I think this is the chap who the Chiefs could have drafted this year, but didn't."

Is that correct?

If so, how much are the Jets paying this Sanchez fellow in comparison to Cassel?

Thanks.

When we get Moss and Welker, then, we should be set.

He'll need to prove that he can also perform with less. Thus far, it's been a mixed bag. He pisses down his leg before half of the Raiders game, but also leads a nice drive late in the 4th.

This past week, he, generally, had very little time to operate. When he did, he was inconsistent.

Let's hope this improves. Right now, if I had to guess, Sanchez will always be the hammer that some fans (can rightfully) use to bludgeon Pioli.

That's partially because Manning is brilliant at getting his team into the right play and he also feels pressure and gets the ball out.

They basically don't even have a LT and have a bunch of young lineman and he still looks the same. Peyton Manning is the team without him they'd win 2 games.

When you are used to running for your life 90% of the time, it's a hard habit to break, even when you are actually afforded the time to survey the field and find an open receiver.

As I said in another thread.....If Matt Cassel is never good for us we should all be allowed to go out to the stadium and set Pioli's car on fire and throw donuts at his bald spot while calling him a fat doughy dipshit.

I don't think a pocket ever gets formed around Cassel for him to feel any pressure.
For what I've watched its just instant pressure with a piss poor attempt to even form a pocket.

I think the Cassel decision was a mistake, obviously.

But what I'm hopeful about is that perhaps there will be some type of unintended consequence that will cause us all to look back upon the decision in a different light.

For example, maybe we're in a position to acquire a ricockulous prospect--I'm talking P. Manning level--2 years from now, and we would have never done this with Sanchez on the roster...

Eh...whatever.

That's true.

He's playing under imperfect conditions, and it's a joke that we've handicapped him to this extreme.

You know that guy we hired to be GM? The supposed NFL executive of the decade?

He had an entire offseason and a shit ton of cap room to do something about the OL his answer was to sign Mike Goff and trade a draft pick for 2 guys getting cut...

Blame him.

We're likely talking 3 years till there's another viable QB prospect and to be in position to get him we will have to have basically continued to be this bad for 3 more years...

If Pioli is still here Cassel is his guy and is still going to be out there playing QB. Sauto disageed with me but like I said if we're sitting here in 3 years and we're no better and Cassel is a bum...Pioli has gotta go.

If he was wrong on that Cassel decision he should lose his job.

The offensive line is just fine.

You are NOT a GM and don't know what you're talking about.

Get back to us when you've actually WORKED in the NFL and then maybe, we'll take you seriously.
