Carb limits? Somewhere between 30-50g is probably the upper limit if you want to do it correctly. Meal suggestions: Package of bacon (no carbs, lots of protein and fat, and a package is generally under 500 cals). A personal favorite is a package of Tyson Grilled Chicken strips (200 cals, 38g protein) tossed with a package of steamed green beans (100 cals). Toss that all with 1 tbsp of olive oil, and salt and pepper to taste. 400 cals, lots of protein, low carb (good fiber content, too), good fats. Cafe Steamers in the frozen section are pretty good, but they tend to have 35+g of carbs, so they're not ideal for a low-carb diet, but they are very low calorie. |
