Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

If NE wins the SB 5 years from now, nobody will give a flying **** nor should they.

The reason I brought up Denver is the point that teams attempt to circumvent the rules all the time. They get caught every now and again.

This is nothing new nor should it be treated like Pearl Harbor.

They got busted, they will be fined and they will lose draft picks.

Move on, it didn't even effect the game which has been proven by the fact the 2nd half after the balls were reinflated they really blew them out.

Shit maybe an Indy spy deflated them too far thinking it would cause issues for Brady, he had a worse 1st half. Ever think of that?

It was a common practice. Golic was talking about it this week in the context of games he played in, nothing to do with KC/Denver.

i am not going to do a standard deviation, i will leave that to others but jesus it seems like the pats are like 3 standard deviations(rough estimate) away from the mean...which has a VERY VERY low chance (less than 1%) almost to the point where they would be an outlier that would be ignored
If only I could figure out the relationship between the Pats and the Falcons. Pats and Falcons... Hmmm... How are they related?

You may well be right that that is what the NFL will do, but it doesn't exactly seem fair to "drop the hammer" on the Patriots while doing nothing to other teams. The vikes and jags got a "don't do that again" "punishment".
Is it because of how much they win, or how they consistently do it? What do you think they have gotten away with, and how long? I know. Nothing. They're choir boys.

This is where we can agree. Until there's real evidence nothing can really be done.

I'm certain it was acommon practice. What was uncommon was stopping the game and allowing these players to go to the sideline to get wiped off. Should have been a delay penalty at the least.

(I noticed they checked the balls AT half time....but did they check them before the game and the pressure was fine?)
Why do people jump into a thread with over 1,000 posts and ask questions that have literally been asked and answered dozens of times already?

You're not the only one to do this, Pawnmower. Several others have done the same thing. But JFC, the questions you asked have been asked and answered ad nauseum in this thread, on every sports talk radio station, and all day long for the last couple of days on ESPN and other networks.

I agree with you about most of this, but I do think it's a way bigger deal because of the reputation that proceeds the key parts of the Cheatriots. And it's clearly deserved. They'll need proof to actually do anything, but these scumbags don't deserve the benefit of the doubt, and they are absolutely killing the integrity of the entire league in the eyes of a lot of long time fans.
