Crennel has already said if Orton played the final 2 games the way he did against the Packers, then he should have a shot at the starting QB spot next season. And for the most part, Orton did play pretty well the last 2 games.
The absolute worst thing this team needs is to have both Orton and Cassel in a battle for the starting QB spot. In fact, they have both shown what they can do. One of them needs to go, so the remainder of the snaps in OTA's and training camp can go to a young QB (Stanzi or whoever) so that we can develop a legit QB of our own.

Id like to keep both of them but if anybody goes its gonna be Orton especially if mcdaniels is here.
And as far as Cassell didn't do anything in three years, tell that to the probowl.
