Albert's going to tackle, they're not playing him at guard.

I really hope we don't do that. I don't want him to be the next Leonard Davis.

He shouldn't have been, don't blame me for other teams stupidity.

I say the Steelers give Ben what he wants and go with James Hardy.

WR's continue to drop!

Basileus777
04-26-2008, 03:43 PM
I don't like this pick for DAL. Felix is a good speed RB and should compliment MB3 well, but you could get that type of RB later in the draft. Why use a 1st rounder on someone who will be a backup player when you have other needs such as CB and WR?

'Hamas' Jenkins
04-26-2008, 03:43 PM
And I wonder if the Titans are lucky enough to get a replacement for dumbass Pac Man with Jenkins.

Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me at all,or maybe they take Devin Thomas

Go look at the offical Chiefs site and see what they have Albert listed as.

I can't get over how great this is. We get Dorsey and Albert, Denver and Dallas **** up in epic fashion, Baltimore and Tampa provide some hilarity...

No doubt. I think I need to go take a nap to ensure I am not already dreaming.

I really hope we don't do that. I don't want him to be the next Leonard Davis.Well, the teams said it and he's said it, since the pick, so I think it's pretty much set in stone he's getting his shot at tackle...

Mecca

I really hope we don't do that. I don't want him to be the next Leonard Davis.

He's much more athletic than that, Davis weighs about 370lbs, Albert is about 305.

Great, great pick by the Steelers, and completely obvious. Taking advantage of stupidity.

Mendenhall is a great pick.

That gives the Steelers one of the best one-punches at RB in the league.

Mecca
04-26-2008, 03:45 PM
I almost think the Chiefs would have to take Devin Thomas, he's a speed compliment to Bowe and also a return man.

I hope we can pick from Devin Thomas or Brian Brohm at 35.

Whoa they took Mendenhall, that's a little weird.

Let's not forget that Parker missed some time last year, and Nejeh davenport is just a body.

This gives them versatility and depth.

Mendenhall is Larry Johnson, not Jerome Bettis.

Mecca
04-26-2008, 03:47 PM
Seattle at 1 point publicly stated that they didn't understand why Brohm was falling and if he was available would consider taking him and sitting him behind Hasselbeck for 2 years preparing him to be their QB.

This new draft format where they have 10 min between first round picks and the Chiefs have lots of early picks rules.

EyePod
04-26-2008, 03:47 PM
In cover 2 he can put his hand down and be a DE, cover 2 DE's are small look at Freeney and Mathis up in Indy.

I've heard that he isn't as good with his hand down and he has trouble shedding blockers, so he would be better in the 3-4 OLB

Mr. Flopnuts

Devin Thomas is going to TEN ahh, he just picked up his phone.

'Hamas' Jenkins
04-26-2008, 03:47 PM
Actually Tennessee needs a WR BAD, this may be where Thomas goes.

Yeah, but there is no reason why Jenkins should have slipped this far. They've gotta take him. It's not like Young can get him the ball anyway.

If you want a WR hope for Thomas, he has good size great speed and also is a returner.

that would be alright. How could a kid go to Coffeyville, KS community college for a year and then go to Michigan State and tear it up? this kid has come a very long way in a very short amount of time and he could keep ascending!

I don't really like any of the WR's in this years draft- plenty of other areas to pick up, though it would stand to reason that you'd like to get a guy this year or next so he can get accustomed to NFL play- most NFL WR's need at least a year to really contribute significantly. So far it seems like we're building the team to support the QB we plan to add later. Brodie is a place holder that buys them time.

But the way the draft has gone we can take a "risk" on a WR that was billed to be a much higher value. Makes that risk in a weak draft a whole lot easier to swallow...
