Huh? Not so much. Green glass was, in the past, considered a status symbol for "fine European beer", a bit of an after effect of European using green glass because there was a shortage of brown glass during WWII. The problem with green bottles is that beer not properly stored in green glass will become lightstruck, or "skunked". It's definitely not on purpose. If you go and have a Heineken fresh from the brewery, it will taste nothing like one over here.

Trust me, the brewers would rather you not drink the beer skunked, but when the beer has to come from overseas, sometimes the greatest care isn't applied to keep the beers away from light and temperature extremes.

Brown bottles give a lot more resistance to ultraviolet light and visible light that will skunk beer, but they're not as "pretty" as green bottles.

I've been all over the world and have one hell of a lot of beers, wines and other assorted alcohols; and while there's a time for spending a King's ransom for something awesome, there are just as many times to not. So most of us drink "regular" beer, and the opinions about/against them are pretty stupid usually, just as those 23-year-old wine snobs who are sure that $45 bottle of wine is better that what comes in a box. Nice, they show their ignorance, usually, when you ask about a wine's body or bouquet, and they stare at you like you're from Mars. Move on to questions about it's weight, if it was crisp, if it was sharp, if it was firm, and you're just picking on them! But they'll tell you they have an aerator, and that make them awesome (because it allows the wine to breath). Ummm, OK! Some are well versed, and that's cool, but they rarely are the same who are critics of right-priced alcohol. Ask a wine snob about a good table wine, and their head will explode looking for an answer... For the rest, put box wine into the empty $45 "vessel" you kept, with its $.02 label, and all of a sudden, it's an awesome wine.

Coals about 10-12 minutes. I didn't want to fire up the monster smoker for one steak. I went to the local butcher for the meat and you can cut this with a fork. The guy has the best beef I have ever had in my life. I buy about half my beef from him.

It's actually pretty good and probably better than I expected. I'd say it's fairly fruity with a little bread. I don't think I taste any hops and it's not bitter at all. This is my first, and the only one I have, but it seems like a really nice summer beer that I'd definitely buy more of.

I've not seen it anywhere in Topeka. But, it is going to be the next beer I try.

That could be, but I was thinking more orange or some shit. It doesn't seem to have the little hops smell or taste 80 acre does. 80 acre is one of my favorite regular summer beers and I think I'll add Zon to the regular summer list if I can find more of it.

There is probably some orange peel in the Zon as well but most of the citracy profile is hop flavor. Same for 80 Acre which is dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin hops. It is also one of my favorite beers.

I have a hoppy wheat beer I just kegged that is dry hopped with Cascade and Nelson Sauvin hops and you would swear it had grape fruit juice in it.

Tank 7 is an example of a beer with very fruity hops. Pretty amazing what different flavors hops can add, you then couple them with Belgian yeast and you can get really fruity spicy flavors.
