Correct. Bass on the bottom, and then they put tan upside down tablespoon over the bass and pour Guiness on top of it so it seperates well. Very tasty.

It's one of those drinks I've had marked as a try, but it is kind of low on the list.

I hate using a spoon to layer drinks, I have the damndest time with that "trick". Actually, I just have problems with layering period, but especially so with a spoon.

I just bought it today, specifically for this shot. I bought the DeKuper Buttershots, which was about $13 dollars. It was the only butterscotch schnapps I found at this particular store, so I can't relate to other brands.

By whiskey standards, not much. By general standards (because not everyone here is a whiskey drinker), some what.

If you get a chance, pick up a bottle of Forty Creek Candian whiskey. It is actually rated higher than CR Special Reserve and a WHOLE lot cheaper. I've tried it, and it is a damn good whiskey, considering it comes from Canada and not Bourbon County, Kentucky. ;)

I have a bottle of the 12 yr. The nose is smokey-peat, honey and heather (floral notes). Lots of oak, smoke and malty roundness on the pallate. A real treat if you take the time and effort to enjoy it.

With dinner I had a Turkey and 7 and a Cuervo Black and 7. For those not aware, Cuervo Black is a new tequila that is aged in oak barrels like bourbon. It has a very smooth and mild flavor that tastes like, well tequila and bourbon. Very good stuff. I've tried it neat, with coke, and now the 7. I've enjoyed it in all three forms.

Cuervo Gold isn't going to be much smoother. May I reccomend Patron Silver? There's a pretty smooth tequila. Of course you have to pay 40-50 dollars a bottle for it, but it's worth it.

You know I'm not really much of a drinker. But I would almost say it tasts the same. Select has less calories I believe and it goes down alittle better for me. I don't really like the taste of beer that much so I get the Select because it seems to go down better.
