I have to have Red Bull with my Jaeger. Tequila I'll take straight.

There's a bar here that serves Tang-bombs. Jaeger and Tang. Not as good as it sounds.

GOOD Tequila I can sip all night long. Freezing cold Patron silver is ambrosia.

heh. I'm on a mission to try Jager and Tang now.

Yeah, single malt nonetheless. I normally drink a baragin basement blended Scotch, but this is soooo much better. Given that I'm a tight wad, I hoping that by having a more expensive bottle of Scotch in the house that I'll drink less. We'll see.

I want to try some Scotch but haven't taken the dive; would your recommend single or blended for a rookie? A friend of mine drinks McCallam (sp?). Buys a fifth every other week. Swears by it...

Cool. I actually think Bush is one of the more tolerable domestics, even though I'm more of a microbrew-beer snob kinda guy, now....

Bush just conjures up many College memories for me and many people I know....it was ALWAYS on sale at the liquor stores in the mid to late 80s--or so it seemed. I'm talkin' less than $3 a sixer.

I'll be happy if I can stretch a fifth to last a week. Macallan is out of my price range.

Scotch is an acquired taste. The blends and single malts are completely different in character. Blends are supposed to have a little more wide appeal, and that is what I started with, and still drink to a large extent. If you decide to try a blend, I'd recommend getting a decent bottle (Johnny Walker or Dewar's) to give it a fair shake.

Single malts come from four regions: Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside and Islay. I'm just barely exploring these in the last year. I'm a smoke freak, so I like Islay the best. I think Highlands and Speyside are what most people prefer; I'd go with one of those for my first single malt. Glenlivet is very likable, if unexciting, Speyside.

One last word about Scotch:

Blends: find something you like and stick with it.

Single Malts: fun to explore like micro-brews and wine.

well tonight i decided to not hit the liqour and i cleaned and vacuumed my car. which i had dropped a jalopeno potato chip in earlier this week. So anyway I did what any single guy would do instead of find that chip to rid the car of that smell i bought a 89 cent air freshner that made the car smell spicey minty fresh. anyway i got that smell out and cleaned my room too.

Yea, Jaegerbombs are pretty awesome. I hate Jaeger otherwise. The Red Bull keeps you going too. You need to keep the Jaeger in the freezer rather than fridge... the colder the better.

Just be careful, those things deal out brutal hangovers.

As for my Bronco fan wife, she's been tolerable. We've learned that we get along better by not talking smack, so all I've had to endure is her enjoying the wins. I won't have to put up with it this weekend because she's going to the game and I'm staying home.

Yes, I agree on the Jaeger that it's best keeping it cool.

After doing 10 Jaeger bombs in about 25 minutes in Aruba, my stomach rejects them like a bad kidney anymore.

Same thing with Long Island Ice Teas. Can't drink them anymore after I got sick off them one night.

I really wish I didn't overdue it because Jaeger bombs are the tits.

I need to pick up another bottle of the Especial. I just haven't been in much of a hurry since that night at Joe's. I've actually had a white russian since then, granted it was only a couple of weeks ago, but I've had one just the same. :)

You obviously haven't drank enough beer in one night, I've awoken still drunk from both.

I notice under "location" you have Hays listed, are you from there, or just live in the area? The town of my birth.

I go to school here, since Aug 05'. My hometown is in the other location. The most beer Ive drank in one nite is probably 15 or 16. I usually quit drinking at a point and chill out for a few hours, take tylonel and eat something. Ive only had four hangovers in my life, that I can think of right now.

Can't say as though I've ever had Old Crow. It was supposed to have been a favorite of my great granddad's.

I don't care what these Texicans say, Texas ain't all that.

And Delt deserves everything he gets. I don't know what that has to do with the price of butter in Moscow anyway.

Does anything, here, have to do with that?

Just opened a Boulevard Nut Cracker Ale.

It's pretty mediocre, and likely the only one I'll have tonight.

Those things a pretty damn annoying. I have tried to make beer stops on road trips and run into them. Figure living in one would be pretty rough.

I have tried a lot of bad nut browns. Usually they are too sweet for my taste and the nut flavor too overpowering.

I've only ventured from boring domestics in the last year or so. I used to drink only Miller Lite because it "had more flavor". A buddy that owns a bar got me started on Boulevard Wheat. Now I try and try new things, but it's a slow process. Broadening my horizons, one bottle at a time.

Trying new ones you will run into some pretty bad beers but the good ones you like make it well worth it. If they sell Odell brewery stuff around you may give them a try. The 5 barrel pale ale is a kind of a better version of fat tire.

Stayed in tonight and ended up drinking on a cheap bottle of Cotes du Rhone that ended up being pretty damn good.

A friend and I learned an important lesson about doing saki bombers at dinner last night.... don't.

He and I were fine, of course, being's we're raging alcoholics. The girls, on the other hand, were messes. Mine considerably less than his, of course. I guess that's what he gets for dating a 20 year old.

The walk down Scottsdale Rd was amusing, though.

What my baby wants, my baby gets. MY baby was fine after her saki bombers. Just a little extra... happy. :) If it wasn't for the twenty year old girl with the problems staying upright, I'd have taken my baby to another bar to drink more.

I didn't even know what it was before I moved to Arizona. Then I thought it was always served hot. I only recently learned that the cheap shit is served hot, the good stuff is served chilled. (Yay asian girlfriend)

So... get the cold stuff.
